Frequently Asked Questions

Please feel free to use our contact form to ask a question or alternatively call our friendly team on 07912559429 for a confidential conversation regarding your treatment queries

01/

Can anyone carry out this work?

Patient safety is our first concern! As with any injections like these, there are always risks of infection; damage to skin, nerves & tissue & the possibility of allergic reactions. We are trained to minimise those risks in the first place & also to handle any problems safely, should they happen.

02/

Does lip enhancement hurt?

We apply a prescription-strength numbing cream prior to your treatment which makes the treatment very tolerable. The dermal fillers used also contain a local anaesthetic which also makes it a more comfortable experience.

03/

What fillers do you use?

We do stock all premium fillers such as Juvederm, Teosyal which we will only purchase from reputable aesthetics pharmacies. We tailor filler to your desired outcome and what we can achieve with your anatomy in mind so we are firm believers one brand of filler does not suit all.

04/

What are the side effects?

As with any injectable there are minimal side effects which we expect to last 24-48 hours post treatment. You may experience tenderness, bruising and swelling. This will be discussed at your appointment and you will be provided with post procedure aftercare instructions after your appointment.

05/

Will I look fake?

We take pride in creating very natural looking results. Whether you are looking for a very subtle change or more noticeable volume, this can still be achieved whilst keeping it natural.

06/

How long do fillers last?

This can be dependent upon many factors such as exercise, smoking. alcohol and many more.

Normally ranges from 6-18 months

07/

Are dermal filler treatments safe?

Dermal fillers are extremely safe and do not carry the risks associated with invasive cosmetic surgery. However, as with many procedures, there can be side effects which must always be explained thoroughly to the patient before any procedure or treatment takes place.

08/

Who will be performing my treatments?

All our staff who deliver injectables are medically trained and insured and regulated health care professionals. We are all independent prescribers.

09/

How much down time is there to dermal fillers?

As with any injection you can expect a possible side effect of temporary redness at the injection site, bruising and swelling. These are very common and expected side effects which usually subside within 24-48 hours of treatment. More rare side effects/risks are discussed at your appointment prior to undertaking treatment.

10/

Are there any risks with
dermal fillers?

Product related reactions are rare. There are some injection related reactions which may occur after any injection including redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the injection site.

11/

What happens at my appointment?

You will receive a full consultation with your appointed medical practitioner. They will discuss all risks, side effects, benefits of treatment and what to expect, together with a treatment plan. Your concerns will be listened too, addressed and discussed thoroughly. For a dermal filler treatment in a sensitive area ie lips, a topical numbing cream will be applied.

12/

What should I do after treatment?

You should avoid rubbing or touching the injected areas and avoid having facials or massage for 48 hours to ensure that the treatment remains at the site of injection and to prevent any infection at the injection site. Avoid steam baths, saunas, vigorous exercise and alcohol for 48 hours.
